In this capacity he oversees the facilitation of a Digital Learning model that robustly incorporates robotics, digital literacy and digital research skills across K-12.

Prior to North Reading Downs was the Program Coordinator of Digital Learning in the Andover Public Schools. Downs provided leadership for their 1:1 laptop program and led digital learning curriculum initiatives to include web design, mobile app development into the high school curriculum. Downs initiated the Andover Innovation Lab to provide students the opportunity to work on independent projects with technology while supporting staff and student technology learning.

Prior to Andover, Downs was the Computer Education teacher at Winchester High School and led curriculum development at Bunker Hill Community College in the Computer Information & Technology department. Downs holds an E.D. in Instructional Design concentrated in Educational Technology from Argosy University, Master’s Degree in Education from Endicott College and a Bachelors of Fine Art from Tufts University.
